There will be drinking at this party. Also, some people may attempt to stay up all night and greet the sun the next day. If you wish to participate in either or both of these activities, we strongly encourage you to come prepared to spend the night. We cannot promise you a bed (although some "soft crash space" will be available on an "I saw it first" basis.) However if you are willing to do any of the following, you should be just fine:
- Bring a sleeping bag and sleep on the floor.
- Bring a tent, and set it up while you are still conscious. There is plenty of space for this, and a wide variety of campsites are available.
- Sleep naked, face-down on the grass. You wouldn't be the first.
Other information you might find useful follows:
- We usually arrange to have beautiful weather that day. If, however, it looks like rain, please do not let this dampen your spirits. Plastic Forks will be held rain or shine. Be there!
- Since it is very likely that the sun will be shining, please remember to supply yourself with sun screen if you plan on exposing some or all of your flesh. Sunburn is not our friend. (Ouch!)
- The sun is not the only threat. Bugs are also not our friends. (Ouch!!) You may wish to supply yourself with some kind of insect repellent as well.
- Plastic Forks is not a smoke-free environment. Additionally, there are pets in the household. If you are allergic, please remember to bring appropriate medication. Especially if you plan to spend the night.
- This is a Very Large Event. It is, nonetheless, a private party. If you haven't been directly in contact with the organizers regarding attendence -- especially if you've never attended before -- please do not "just show up."
